Dean of UB’s School of Architecture and Planning Named one of 2026’s Power 200 Women
Each year, Buffalo Business First honors the women who are influencing economic, social, and cultural growth throughout Western New York — naming them to the list. This year, UB School of Architecture and Planning Dean Julia Czerniak is one of them!
Throughout her appointment at UB, Dean Czerniak has strengthened research support for faculty, enhanced the school’s reputation and impact, and empowered students to make meaningful contributions to their fields and communities. Most recently, she brought together seven design teams for an international competition, traveling exhibition, and that challenged architects, landscape architects, planners, and other allied design professionals to boldly envision UB’s South Campus as a socio-ecologically integrated landscape.
